Dutchess Man, 71, Steals Dump Truck From Hospital Garage, Police Say
A man has been charged in connection with the theft of a dump truck from a garage at Garnet Health Medical Center in Orange County that was later found in Dutchess County, police said. The investigation into the theft began on Sunday, Sept. 7, after hospital staff reported a burglary at a maintenance facility on East Main Street in Wallkill, New York State Police announced on Wednesday, Oct. 29. Authorities identified the victim in a deadly Capital Region crash as a 26-year-old husband and racing enthusiast. Zachary Seyerlein, of Stockport, was killed when his vehicle collided with a dump truck in the Columbia County town of Ghent on State Route 9H on Tuesday afternoon, April 15, New York State Police confirmed. The Columbia County wreck happened in the town of Ghent, on State Route 9H at Falls Road, at around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 15.
