Arsonist Sets Fire To Apartment Building In Region, Police Say A 49-year-old man was arrested after he intentionally set a fire inside a Troy residence, prompting an early-morning emergency response, police said. The fire broke out around 7 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, inside an apartment at 170 1st Street, according to Troy Police. Firefighters located the blaze in a common-area hallway and quickly extinguished it. Investigators determined the fire was suspicious, and detectives were called to assist with the investigation, police said. The incident occurred in Dutchess County on Saturday, Oct. 5 in the town of Pleasant Valley.
