Rachel Minaya, who is married to former Mets general manager and current Yankees executive Omar Minaya, was found dead in their New Jersey home over the weekend, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office confirmed on Monday afternoon. Minaya, 55, was found in the bathroom of a Harrington Park home unconscious and unresponsive, bringing local police officers to the scene just after 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Man Drowns During Bicycle Pursuit With Capital Region Police
A police pursuit in the region ended with a bicyclist dead in the Hudson River. The Rensselaer County incident happened in Troy, near 1st Avenue and 116th Street, on Monday evening, July 8. According to Troy Police, an officer was attempting to interview a man on a bicycle about reported suspicious activity near 2nd Avenue and 116th Street when the man took off, ignoring repeated commands by the officer to stop. 1 Killed, Others Injured In 4-Vehicle Hudson Valley Crash
One person was killed and several others injured in a four-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley. The collision occurred in Orange County around 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 19, on Route 6 in the town of Woodbury. According to Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police, a preliminary investigation determined that a 2021 Kia was traveling westbound on Route 6 and rear-ended a second vehicle traveling in the same direction. Man Killed, Two Others Including 13-Year-Old Injured In Capital Region Shooting
A man was killed and two others, including a 13-year-old boy, were injured in a late-night shooting in the region. Albany Police were called at around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, for shots fired in the West Hill neighborhood, near Second and Quail streets.
