Expensive Security System Failed Before Viral 2-Minute NJ Jewelry Store Heist, Owner Says The female owner of a jewelry store that was robbed by a group of masked men in New Jersey is speaking out after the life-changing ordeal that lasted all of two minutes. The incident happened on Wednesday, April 8 on Madison Avenue in Perth Amboy, when SD Jewelry, was robbed, Perth Amboy police said. The suspects fled before officers arrived. Burglars Targeting Asian Americans, Stealing Cash, Jewelry In Dutchess, Police Warn Authorities are warning residents in Dutchess, Westchester, and Putnam counties about a recent string of residential burglaries targeting Asian Americans and advising them to step up security measures.  In an announcement on Wednesday, Jan. 29, New York State Police said three burglaries have been reported within the past week, specifically targeting homes of Asian American residents.  In two of the incidents, burglars stole large amounts of cash and jewelry. The break-ins occurred in Dutchess County on Thursday, Oct. 24, and Friday, Oct. 25, on the following Poughkeepsie roadways: Main Street S. Hamilton Street Parker Avenue Catharine Street Franklin Street Civic Center Plaza.  These incidents are currently under investigation. Electronics, Cash Stolen From Parked Cars In Hudson Valley Neighborhoods Authorities are warning residents to lock their cars after electronics and cash were stolen from several vehicles in multiple Hudson Valley neighborhoods.  The thefts were reported in Putnam County on Friday morning, June 14, when Carmel Police learned that unlocked vehicles had been entered in the South Lake and North Lake Boulevard neighborhoods in Mahopac.  According to the department, small electronics and cash, reported as $20 and some loose change, were taken from some of the cars.  The suspect carried only a flashlight and a backpack and was not armed, police said als…
