He served as mayor of the Village of Brewster from 1977 to 1979 and later as Town of Southeast Supervisor from 2003 to 2007. The crash happened outside the Brewster Elks Club at Route 22 and Milltown Road around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 9, according to the Brewster Fire Department.
