A woman believed to have jumped from the Bear Mountain Bridge early in the morning was found dead in the Hudson River following a multi-agency search, police confirmed. Authorities responded to the Bear Mountain Bridge in the Hudson Valley after a person jumped off the structure early in the morning. The incident happened on Friday, Feb. 7 at around 3:45 a.m., when a person leaped from the bridge, according to New York State Police. Authorities are still at the bridge, police said, adding that more information is not yet available. A 32-year-old man has died after jumping off the Bear Mountain Bridge into the Hudson River, New York State Police report. New York State Police responded to the tragic incident on Saturday, Dec. 28, after receiving reports of an individual jumping off the Bear Mountain Bridge. A bill aimed at stopping suicides by adding preventive fencing to five Hudson Valley bridges has passed the New York State Senate unanimously. Now, the bill introduced by State Sen. Body Recovered After Person Jumps From Bear Mountain Bridge
A body was recovered after a person jumped from the Bear Mountain Bridge. The incident happened around 1 p.m. Friday, May 17.
