Several years after ending operations, the Indian Point nuclear plant in the Hudson Valley could still be restarted, but it would take billions of dollars, according to a new report by Politico.
Kelly Trice, the President of Holtec International, which is in charge of dismantling the facility, told Politico that reviving the 2,000-megawatt plant is “possible,” though it would require political and financial backing from Gov. Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who resigned in 2021 following allegations of sexual harassment, is suing one of his accusers, a Northern Westchester native, for defamation.
Cuomo, age 67, filed the lawsuit in the New York Supreme Court on Thursday, Dec. 19 against former staffer Charlotte Bennett, a Northern Westchester native, who accused the former governor of sexual harassment in 2021.

A new poll shows Democrat Josh Riley with a four-point lead in the hotly contested 19th Congressional District 19 race against Republican incumbent Marc Molinaro.
