A police officer was hospitalized after a Long Island motorist allegedly became combative after being stopped near an intersection.
Officers conducted the traffic stop of a 2012 Dodge Challenger in Valley Stream in the vicinity of Hook Creek Boulevard and 136th Avenue at around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2.
During the investigation, it was determined that the driver, Albert Dodson, age 30, of Hempstead, was operating the vehicle with a suspended license, according to Nassau County Police.

A 43-year-old man was at Christopher Morley Park, located at 500 Searingtown Road, with his Belgian Dutch Shepherd when it turned on his owner and began to viciously attack him.
