Driver Tried Killing Woman With Her Car During Dispute At Bellport Shopping Center, DA Says A Long Island woman is facing an attempted murder charge after allegedly striking another woman with her car. Philomena Mistretta, age 51, of Coram, was indicted on multiple charges in Suffolk County Court on Thursday, Nov. 8, in connection with an incident at North Bellport’s Miracle Plaza on Montauk Highway. Sex Offender Harasses 13-Year-Old Girl At East Patchogue Convenience Store, Police Say A convicted sex offender is accused of harassing an underage girl outside a Long Island convenience store. The incident happened in Patchogue, at the 7-Eleven store located near Montauk Highway and Bay Avenue, at around 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11. Suffolk County Police said 37-year-old Ronald Rios, of East Patchogue, made sexual comments to a 13-year-old girl. When the victim informed Rios of her age, he allegedly continued making sexual comments. Detectives with the Suffolk County Police Department’s Special Victims Section identified the suspect as Rios.
