Woman Attacked By Dog At Long Island Home
A woman is recovering after being attacked by a dog on Long Island. The incident occurred just before 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in Elmont. Nassau County Police officers responding to the Newburgh Street residence found the 81-year-old had suffered multiple lacerations to various parts of her body. The victim was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment of her injuries. She is currently listed in stable condition. The Nassau County Emergency Service Unit (ESU) responded and secured the animals. The investigation is ongoing.

Suspect At Large After Man Shot In Face In Broad Daylight In Syosset
A suspect is on the loose after a shooting in broad daylight on Long Island. It happened around 11:10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, in Syosset near 225 Underhill Blvd. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a 34-year-old man had sustained a gunshot wound to the face, Nassau County Police said. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing. 9-Year-Old Suffers Injuries After Fall At Pool In North Woodmere
A girl suffered several injuries after falling from a pool diving board at a Long Island home. The incident happened around 5:10 p.m. Thursday, July 25, in North Woodmere. The 9-year-old suffered contusions to her head, neck pain, and a possible fractured left arm, Nassau County Police said.
