Finger-Wagging Man Flashes Gun At Long Island Restaurant Worker, Police Say
Police arrested a man days after he allegedly brandished a gun at a Long Island restaurant worker. The incident happened in Franklin Square, at Tony’s Tacos on Hempstead Turnpike, shortly before 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23. Nassau County Police said a man entered the business and flashed a handgun at the clerk, making her fear for her life. He then fled on foot. Nobody was injured in the ordeal. On Tuesday, Aug. 27, police announced that detectives arrested 62-year-old Kevin Warren, of Franklin Square, on suspicion of menacing. Duo Accused Of Skimming Cards At Long Island Banks
Two men on Long Island were arrested after police said they set up card skimming devices multiple times at local banks. According to Nassau County Police, the pair was caught following a Franklin Square incident on Saturday, June 22. On that day, a witness reported seeing two men — later identified as Pavel Olewski, age 30, and Andrei Stefan, age 36 — placed a skimming device on the ATM at Ridgewood Savings Bank, located at 1010 Hempstead Turnpike.
