LI Pastor Accused Of Sexually Abusing 22-Year-Old Man

A Long Island pastor is accused of sexually abusing a man.

Thomas Moriarty, age 62, of New Hyde Park, was arrested Thursday, Oct. 31, following an investigation by the Nassau County Police Department’s Special Victims Squad.

According to police, Moriarty – who is a pastor at Church of the Holy Spirit in New Hyde Park – sexually abused a 22-year-old man in Oceanside on Saturday, Oct. 26. 

The relationship between him and the alleged victim was not immediately clear.

Moriarty was arrested on suspicion of forcible touching, and was arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead.
