4-Year-Old Child Rescued After Kidnapping In Dutchess, Chase On I-84, I-684: Police This story has been updated.  A four-year-old child with autism was safely rescued after being abducted in a rapidly unfolding kidnapping situation that spanned Westchester, Dutchess, and Putnam counties, authorities announced. The incident began on Saturday, Feb. 22, when Putnam County 911 received a report of a vehicle stolen out of LaGrange. Authorities learned that the suspect, 26-year-old Jahyra Allen of Brooklyn, had allegedly taken the car from a family member and abducted her 4-year-old child, whom she does not have legal custody of, according to New York State Police. 39-Year-Old Man Killed In Hudson Valley Crash A man was killed in a three-vehicle crash that caused an hours-long closure on a busy Northern Westchester road, police said.  Brandon Plunkett, age 39, died in the crash on Thursday, Aug. 15 in North Castle that happened at around 3:30 p.m. on northbound Route 22 between Route 120 and Old Orchard Street, North Castle Police announced on Monday, Aug. 19.  According to the department, three vehicles were involved in the crash, including a motorcycle operated by Plunkett, who succumbed to injuries sustained in the incident.  Other drivers and passengers involved in the cr…

The crash occurred in Orange County at approximately 1:50 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, in the town of Highlands on Route 9W northbound according to Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police.
