Patient, 18, Assaults Hospital Employees In Region, Police Say
An 18-year-old patient assaulted two employees at a Capital Region hospital, police said. Saratoga County resident Isabelle Singley, of Burnt Hills, was arrested following an altercation at Saratoga Hospital in Saratoga Springs early Wednesday, March 12. An investigation found that Singley struck two staff members at the hospital, causing injuries, at around 3 a.m., sheriff’s officials said. No other details about the incident were given. Driver On Suspended License Busted With 'Altered' Inspection Sticker In Region: Police
A driver with at least 10 license suspensions was busted behind the wheel with a fraudulent safety inspection sticker, police said. Saratoga County Sheriff’s officials stopped Ricky Trombley, 52, in the Village of Corinth at around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, after noticing what appeared to be an altered inspection sticker, deputies said. An arsonist set fire to a Capital Region home knowing someone was inside, police said. Saratoga County Sheriff’s officials were called to a Corinth residence on Antone Mountain Road for a disturbance at around 3 a.m. Wednesday, March 12. Death Of 3-Year-Old At Home In Region Under Investigation
Authorities are investigating the death of a 3-year-old child at a Capital Region home. Emergency crews in Saratoga County were called to a Corinth residence on Main Street for a child who was struggling to breathe at around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19. The child was transported to Saratoga Hospital where they were pronounced dead, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies did not speculate on a cause of death. Woman Stabs Victim In Chest During Fight At Home In Region, Police Say
A fight ended with a knife being plunged into a victim’s chest in the Capital Region, police said. Saratoga County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a Malta residence on Sunset Gulch for a fight in progress shortly after midnight Wednesday, Feb. 19. Alexander Floud, 23, was arrested following a multi-agency search of his Milton residence on Thursday, Feb. 6, New York State Police said. One person was killed following a crash involving a tractor-trailer on a Capital Region highway. The wreck happened in Saratoga County, on State Route 67 (Amsterdam Road) in Charlton, at around 12:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3. Know Him? Police Searching For This Burglary Suspect In Region
State Police are asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly committed a burglary. The incident occurred in Saratoga County in October in Halfmoon. According to state police from Clifton Park, the man has a very distinct "518" tattoo on their right hand and a large tattoo on the right side of their neck. Fatal House Fire: 84-Year-Old Woman ID'd As Victim In Capital Region Blaze
Authorities have identified a woman who died in a house fire in the region. The Saratoga County incident happened in the town of Milton, at a residence on Greenwood Drive, at around 5 p.m. Saturday, July 27. Ballston Spa Fire officials said several agencies responded for a house that was on fire and possibly occupied. Once the flames were extinguished and firefighters got inside, they found the body of an 84-year-old woman. On Tuesday, July 30, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as Mary Lou Cotton, of Milton. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
