Stormville Woman Nabbed For DWI, Almost Hitting Cop Car Over Holiday Weekend: Police Several people, including Connecticut residents, were apprehended for impaired driving over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend in the Hudson Valley, including several incidents involving crashes and dangerous driving behaviors, authorities announced. The arrests, which occurred in Putnam County between Tuesday, Nov. 26, and Wednesday, Dec. 4, were announced by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday. Part Of Busy Hudson Valley Road To Close For Months: Here's Where Part of a well-traveled Hudson Valley road near its intersection with a busy highway will close for several weeks as crews replace a culvert, officials announced.  Beginning on Monday, July 15, part of Route 311 in the Putnam County town of Patterson will close between the Interstate 84 Exit 61 on and off ramps and Ludingtonville Road (Route 43), according to the Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services. Man With No ID Killed In Hudson Valley Crash After Speeding In Opposite Lane: Police A Connecticut man was killed in a New York crash after allegedly speeding in the opposite lane of traffic and striking another vehicle before hitting a tree, police announced.  The crash happened in Putnam County on Wednesday, June 19 just before noon, when two cars collided on Route 311 just south of Caroline Drive in the town of Patterson, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
