MTA To Increase Hudson Valley Service To, From Yankee Stadium During World Series If you're hoping to catch a train to watch the Yankees face off against the Dodgers on their home field, the MTA is adding service to and from the stadium to make your trip a bit easier. In an announcement on Friday, Oct. 25, MTA officials said Metro-North Railroad would implement extra services on the Hudson, Harlem, and New Haven lines during the World Series games at Yankee Stadium on Monday, Oct. 28 (Game 3), Tuesday, Oct. 29 (Game 4), and if necessary, Wednesday, Oct. 30 (Game 5).  Officials detailed the following extra services for each line: Hudson Line:   Eight tra…

Man Parks SUV In Train's Path In Hudson Valley, Runs Away, Cops Say Police in New York say a Connecticut man intentionally parked his Chevy Equinox on train tracks in the path of a CSX train and then ran away only to be caught. The Hudson Valley incident occurred in Ulster County around 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, south of the Esopus Avenue railroad crossing in the town of Espous. According to Capt. Joseph Sciutto of the Ulster County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a report of a train hitting a car. When first responders arrived, they saw a car seat in the back seat and quickly checked to ensure no children were injured, Sciutto said. Deputies found …
