Workers Injured After Torch Sparks Flash Fire At Croton-Harmon Yard Two workers were injured when the torch they lit malfunctioned and caused a flash fire at a Northern Westchester railroad yard.  The incident happened on Thursday, Nov. 7 just before 9:45 a.m. at Metro-North's Croton-Harmon Railroad Yard in Croton-on-Hudson, according to the village's fire department. The blaze happened when two workers lit a malfunctioning torch that caused a "brief but concussive flash fire," the department said.  The workers were taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.

Man Hospitalized After Bike Hits Car Driving Through Intersection In Yonkers A 65-year-old man was taken to a hospital after a two-vehicle collision at a Westchester intersection.  The crash happened in Yonkers on Thursday, Nov. 7 just before 5:30 p.m., when a car traveling through the intersection of Wakefield and Woodlawn Avenues on a green light was struck by a bicycle, according to Yonkers Police Sergeant Robert Spink.  Spink said the bicyclist reported pain in his leg and hand and was taken to a nearby hospital.  The vehicle involved in the crash remained at the scene.
