Man Threatens To Kill Reporter, Her Family In NY, Feds Say Anger over an unflattering news article prompted a man to threaten to kill a New York reporter and her family, federal prosecutors alleged. Austin Suman, age 35, now residing in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, was charged in Westchester County with making a threat involving an explosive and related charges in White Plains federal court. Prosecutors said Suman contacted a Hudson Valley reporter based in Orange County via Facebook messenger on Friday, Nov. 8, threatening to “end” the woman’s family. Long Island Man Accused Of Stalking Girl A Long Island man has been accused of stalking a teenager after what police say were multiple incidents that occurred between Friday, Oct. 4, and Friday, Oct. 11. The suspect followed a 16-year-old girl while operating a 2013 gray Nissan Rogue in Levittown as she was walking home from school on Wantagh Avenue in the vicinity of Old Jerusalem Avenue, according to Nassau County Police. Bay Shore Man Who Kidnapped Ex-GF At Knifepoint Gets Decades In Prison A Long Island man whose abuse and stalking of his former girlfriend culminated in a knifepoint kidnapping will spend decades behind bars. Holmark Garces, age 35, of Bay Shore, was sentenced to 27 to 30 years in prison in Suffolk County Court on Monday, Sept. 30. According to prosecutors, the victim moved out of Garces’ Bay Shore residence in December 2019 after he became increasingly controlling and abusive.
