Mercedes Theft Leads To Arrest Of Man For DWI/Drugs In Region, Police Say A Hudson Valley man nabbed for the alleged theft of a 2005 gold Mercedes from a Budget 19 Motel led to his arrest for a host of charges, including alleged DWI/Drugs.  The incident occurred in Ulster County around 8 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, at the Budget 19 Motel on Route 28 in Kingston. According to State Police Trooper Steven Nevel, in a preliminary investigation, the stolen car was involved in a collision with a 2021 Ford. Woman Accused Of Stealing Dog In Capital Region A 46-year-old woman from the region was arrested this week after police said she and another woman stole two dogs from a home earlier this month.  Shalon Jones, of Albany, is charged with criminal possession of stolen property and hindering prosecution, Albany police said. Driver Busted In Stolen U-Haul Truck On Capital Region Highway, Police Say What began as a routine traffic stop on a highway in the region ended with a man in handcuffs and accused of driving a stolen U-Haul truck. A trooper in Albany County pulled the box truck over at around 10:45 a.m. Friday, May 24, on I-87 in Colonie for multiple vehicle and traffic law violations. New York State Police said further investigation determined that the U-Haul truck had been reported stolen to the Colonie Police Department just one day prior. In Albany County, Cohoes Police were called shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday, May 25, for three people who were reportedly going through parked vehicles on Leversee Avenue.
