NY Woman Killed In CT Head-On Collision That Sent 3 Teens To Hospital A 62-year-old woman was killed earlier this week in a head-on crash with an SUV in Fairfield County. Diane K. Staab, of Mahopac, New York, was identified as the victim who died in the crash, which occurred in New Fairfield on Monday, Jan. 13, shortly before 9:30 p.m., Connecticut State Police said. The crash happened on Ball Pond Road just north of Harvest Road. Staab's Jeep collided head-on with an oncoming SUV. Police said they are still investigating the cause of the crash and have not determined who was at fault. Staab was pronounced dead at the scene, and the three teenagers in the SU…

Rollover Crash Victim Rescued From Car, Then Nabbed For Drunk Driving In Region: Police Several people were nabbed on drunk driving charges in the Hudson Valley over the holiday weekend, including a Westchester woman rescued from a rolled-over car and a taxi driver, police said. The arrests were announced by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday, Oct. 17, and were all made over Columbus Day weekend.  The first incident happened on Friday, Oct. 11 in Putnam Valley, when a car crashed and flipped on Church Road in the area of Kramers Pond Road.  Arriving sheriff's deputies found a vehicle on its side with downed live wires nearby.
