A pickup truck driver accused of murder in a deadly road rage crash on Long Island has been cleared by a grand jury. The panel declined to bring charges against Brian Noll, 65, in the death of Ibis Baez, of the Bronx, on April 25, 2025, in North Hills, according to Newsday. Noll was initially charged with second-degree murder in the case, which involved a collision between his Ford F-250 pickup truck and the 29-year-old Baez’s Kawasaki motorcycle on a Long Island Expressway exit ramp. A driver shut off his lights and sped away from a car meet before being stopped and arrested in Melville, Suffolk County Police announced on Friday, Oct. 17. A Second Precinct Community Support Unit officer rolled up on a meet-up in the parking lot at 68 South Service Road and saw a gray Honda Civic leaving around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16, according to police. Weeks Of Southern State Parkway Closures Planned In Babylon
Weeks of scheduled closures on Southern State Parkway could spell delays for drivers. In Babylon, the westbound Southern State Parkway will be closed between exit 39 and exit 32 weeknights from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., beginning Monday, Oct. 14. The closures will last approximately five weeks to facilitate a pavement resurfacing project, the New York State Department of Transportation said.
