19-Year-Old Killed, Another Man Injured In Single-Vehicle Long Island Crash One man is dead and another is hospitalized with serious injuries following a single-vehicle crash on Long Island. The wreck happened at around 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, in Stony Brook, near the intersection of Stony Brook Road and North Country Road. Suffolk County Police said a sanitation worker called 911 after a GMC vehicle with two occupants struck a tree and overturned. Emergency crews found both men inside the vehicle and unconscious.
