Fatal Crash: 46-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Holtsville One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash on a busy Long Island roadway. It happened around 6:20 p.m. Thursday, June 13 in Holtsville. Jared Rueb, age 46, was operating a 2005 Honda motorcycle southbound on North Ocean Avenue by Peconic Avenue, when he lost control and struck a curb, according to Suffolk County Police. He was rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police have not yet released Rueb's place of residence. According to Suffolk County Police, the victim was operating a 2008 Suzuki motorcycle and traveling eastbound on Main Street when a westbound car turned left in front of the motorcycle onto Rider Avenue, causing the collision.
