'Highly Recommend': New Restaurant On Long Island Cited For 'Nice Ambiance, Chic Presentation' A new restaurant on Long Island serving vegetarian Indian cuisine is a hit with diners just weeks into business. Atithi – located in Bethpage at 398 North Wantagh Avenue – held its grand opening in late August. Under the direction of owner and New Delhi native Deepak Mehta, the eatery promises traditional Indian flavors, sans any meat.  Its menu boasts 18 different variations of Delhi chaat, made with soft lentil dumplings soaked in yogurt and topped with an assortment of chutneys and spices.
