Crashing, Fleeing, Sleeping, And More: Six LI Drunk Drivers Busted On South Fork, Police Say
Six people were arrested for drunk driving in and around Southampton over the weekend, including one person who crashed into another vehicle, one person who fled on foot, and one who was asleep at the wheel, according to police.
Ernest Kempermann, a 63-year-old Southampton man, was involved in a minor collision with another vehicle on Noyack Road around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, May 3, Southampton Town Police said.
Cops later determined Kempermann was drunk at the time of the crash, and he was set for arraignment Monday, May 4 on a misdemeanor DWI charge, police said. No injuries were reported.
