A brazen, days-long crime spree stretching across Nassau County has landed a Long Island man behind bars, police announced on Friday, April 24.
Brian Quinn, 50, of Rockville Centre, is accused of targeting a car shop and two banks in a rapid series of incidents, according to Nassau County Police.
The spree began on Saturday, April 19, when Quinn allegedly test drove a 2011 BMW from A Plus Auto Technician on Grand Avenue in Baldwin — and never brought it back.

A Bronx man is accused of attempting to rob two people in separate Elmont parking lots before being caught with suspected crack cocaine, Nassau County police announced on Monday, Aug. 11.
Joshua Rodriguez, 36, of Eagle Avenue, allegedly approached a 46-year-old man in the parking lot of T.J. Maxx at 1445 Hempstead Turnpike around 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 10, detectives said.
Rodriguez tried to grab the man’s cellphone and necklace, but the victim called 911, prompting the suspect to leave and head to a nearby parking lot, police said.

A woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly attacking a woman and locking her inside a room during a violent dispute in a Long Island apartment, police said.
The incident happened shortly before 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, at a Farmingdale residence on Eastern Parkway, according to Nassau County Police.
Officers responded after receiving a 911 call from someone who said her friend was being held against her will.

A robbery turned violent when a man was shot in the leg during a holdup in Selden, Suffolk County Police announced on Tuesday, July 15.
A 21-year-old man was sitting in the driver’s seat of a parked car on Comet Road around 10:40 p.m. on Monday, July 7, when a suspect opened the driver’s side door, pointed a gun at him, and demanded his property, according to police.
As the victim began to exit the vehicle, he was shot in the left leg. A struggle ensued before the gunman fled the scene. The victim was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, investigators said.
