Person Suffers Critical Injuries After Falling Through Roof In Region
A person suffered critical injuries after falling through the roof of a home in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County, in the Red Oaks Mill area of Arlington, at 12:50 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11. According to Arlington Fire District Deputy Chief Adam Kangas, the unidentified victim was found to have sustained severe injuries and required transport to a Level One trauma center. 3 Hospitalized After House Fire In Region
Three people were rescued from a burning Hudson Valley home and hospitalized, firefighters said. The blaze happened in Putnam County on Tuesday, Nov. 5 just after midnight, when flames went up on a home's porch in the Lake Secor area of Mahopac, according to the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department. Arriving fire crews soon realized three people were still inside the residence and quickly went inside to remove them. A 4-month-old girl sustained life-threatening injuries, and two others were seriously injured after the car they were in left the roadway and struck a tree head-on in the region. The incident occurred in Ulster County at 10:15 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, on Libertyville Road in the town of New Paltz. Man Rescued After Crashing 60 Feet Down Into Rocky Embankment In Region
A man had to be carried around 60 feet up a rocky Hudson Valley gorge after crashing into it, authorities said. The crash happened in Putnam County on Sunday, Oct. 6, when an all-terrain vehicle crashed down a cliff in Cold Spring at the gorge on Mill Road, according to the North Highlands Fire Department.
