A former manager of a residential care facility on Long Island will serve prison time for stealing from developmentally disabled residents. Desiree Etheridge, age 50, of North Carolina, was sentenced to one to three years behind bars in Suffolk County Court on Thursday, Aug. 29, after pleading guilty to felony grand larceny. Suffolk County Police were called to a St. James residence on Brasswood Road for a disturbance at around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28. A suspect has been apprehended in connection to a spree of burglaries of Long Island businesses. Following an investigation by Suffolk County Police Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Squad detectives, Joseph Foresto, age 67, was charged with six commercial burglaries and an attempted burglary between Saturday, May 18, and Saturday, June 22. 19-Year-Old Killed, Another Man Injured In Single-Vehicle Long Island Crash
One man is dead and another is hospitalized with serious injuries following a single-vehicle crash on Long Island. The wreck happened at around 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, in Stony Brook, near the intersection of Stony Brook Road and North Country Road.
