Nassau County Police said officers responded to Yummy Gyro, located in Williston Park on Willis Avenue, for a burglary shortly before 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2. An investigation found that someone broke into the restaurant and stole approximately $3,000 from a lockbox and another $500 from a cash register. Suspect Makes Off With Money, Cash Register In Wading River Deli Burglary A suspect is at large after a Memorial Day burglary at a Long Island deli. It happened around 11:30 p.m. Monday, May 27 in Wading River. The owner of the Nik's Nook Deli, located at 737 Hulse Landing Road, Wading River contacted the Riverhead Police Department to report a burglary in progress.  Patrol officers responded and discovered that an unknown person had broken the front door window and entered the building.  The suspect removed one of the cash registers and approximately $100.00 in cash, then left the area in an unknown direction.  The Riverhead Police De…
