Driver Flees Scene After Crashing Into Parked Car At Kings Park 7-Eleven
Authorities are asking the public's help in locating a hit-and-run driver after a Long Island crash. A Dodge Ram struck an unoccupied 2016 Ford Mustang parked outside 7-Eleven in Kings Park, located at 655 East Main St., on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at approximately 3:40 p.m. The driver of the Dodge then fled the scene. A Hudson Valley man has been accused of driving recklessly on Long Island. Suffolk County Police say they observed a purple 2023 Dodge Charger doing donuts in the hamlet of Shirley at around 1:40 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 6 at the intersection of Montauk Highway and William Floyd Parkway. A Long Island man whose abuse and stalking of his former girlfriend culminated in a knifepoint kidnapping will spend decades behind bars. Holmark Garces, age 35, of Bay Shore, was sentenced to 27 to 30 years in prison in Suffolk County Court on Monday, Sept. 30. According to prosecutors, the victim moved out of Garces’ Bay Shore residence in December 2019 after he became increasingly controlling and abusive. One person suffered severe injuries in a crash near an office park on Long Island. It happened around 7:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, in Lake Ronkonkoma. A 46-year-old man was walking southbound in front of 622 Hawkins Ave. when he was struck by a southbound 2016 Subaru Outback, according to Suffolk County Police. Relatives are desperately trying to locate a man who has been missing for weeks after his car was found abandoned near a Long Island highway.
