The fire broke out around 3:45 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 4, at 54 Broad Street in Waterford, where officers arrived on the scene and assisted with evacuating residents from the second-floor apartments, according to a press release from Public Safety Commissioner Michael J. Cocaine-Fentanyl Trafficking Operation Busted In Capital Region A major cocaine and fentanyl operation of 21 individuals who were charged with 222 crimes was busted following a year-long investigation in the Capital Region. New York Attorney General Letitia James said the "takedown" occurred on Tuesday, Oct. 1, in New York City and Rensselaer, Albany, Saratoga, Warren, and Washington counties. According to James, the operation was responsible for selling large quantities of powder and crack cocaine, as well as fentanyl and heroin.  The investigation led to the recovery of more than 4.5 kilograms of cocaine with a street value of approximately $450…

Saratoga County resident Alim Mohammed, age 34, of Moreau, was charged on Friday, Sept. 27, in Lamplighter Acres in Moreau. According to the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office, an investigation into the incident found that Mohammed is accused of forcibly raping the woman while supplying her with alcohol and marijuana.  He is also charged with endangering the welfare of a child under the age of 17 and criminal sale of marijuana, the Sheriff's Office said.
