A man who is behind bars for life for killing a 21-year-old college student has been found guilty again of hiring a hitman from prison to kill another person. On Tuesday, Oct. 29, Cornelius Stubbs, age 53, of Newburgh, was convicted by a jury in Orange County Court of attempted murder for having attempted to cause the death of a Newburgh woman by commanding another man to kill her. 39-Year-Old Accused Of Forcing His Way Into Home In Capital Region
A Capitol Region man is behind bars after allegedly forcing his way into the home of a person he had a prior relationship with. Columbia County resident David A. Grant Jr., age 39, of Craryville, was charged on Sunday, Oct. 13. According to Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police, an investigation determined Grant forced entry into the residence of the victim through a bathroom window and struck the victim. Father Shoots Son During Alleged Break-In At Capital Region Home, Police Say
A man from the region is recovering after he was shot by his own father while allegedly breaking into his home. Deputies in Saratoga County were called at around 9 p.m. Sunday, June 30, for shots fired at a residence in the town of Providence located on Centerline Road. Sheriff’s officials said an investigation found that 34-year-old Ethan Chase, who is homeless, forced his way into the home of his father, 65-year-old Earl Chase.
