Woman Nabbed In $8K Fraudulent Check Case At Credit Union In Region: Police A 20-year-old woman has been charged with two felonies after cashing a fraudulent check worth over $8,000 at a credit union in the region, authorities said.  The investigation began in Putnam County on Friday, Nov. 15, when a deputy took a complaint from an investigator with the Hudson Valley Credit Union about a fraudulent check cashed at the Mahopac branch in Putnam County, according to the Sheriff’s Office. A new TV series streaming on Peacock -- "Poker Face" -- is looking for extras from ages 9 to adults to play restaurant customers and staff. The show, which stars Benjamin Bratt and Natasha Lyonne, is looking to cast local Orange County adults and kids between the ages of 9-13 years old, according to the Orange County Film/Tourism and the Hudson Valley Film Commission. Man Admits To Murder Of 21-Year-Old Woman In Hudson Valley A Hudson Valley man has pleaded guilty to murder and other charges in connection with the shooting death of a young woman. Orange County resident, Carlos Rivera, age 49, of Newburgh, made the plea on Monday, May 2 for the murder which took place in New Windsor in December 2019. During the incident, Chelsea Debidi, age 21, of Walden, was killed at the Knox Village Apartments in New Windsor at the home of her 20-year-old boyfriend’s family, said the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
