Line Of Severe Storms Moving Through With Heavy Rain Causing Flooding In Parts Of Region
A line of storms is now moving across the region from west to east, producing drenching downpours that are flooding some areas. A radar image of the region above, from just before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, shows severe storms marked in red. A storm system headed to the region will bring heavy downpours at the tail-end of the weekend. Storm activity is expected Sunday afternoon, July 9 into Sunday evening, according to the National Weather Service. Tropical Rainstorm Could Bring Heavy Rain, Strong Winds To Region
A tropical rainstorm developing off the East Coast will put a damper on the region's second half of the weekend. Severe storms with heavy downpours and strong gusty winds are moving through the region from west to east late Monday afternoon, Sept. 5. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is now in effect for much of the region as a new round of storms is expected to roll through with damaging winds and isolated tornadoes possible.
