19-Year-Old Leads Troopers On Chase Before Crashing In Capital Region, Police Say A teen driver is facing multiple charges after allegedly leading troopers on a chase before crashing his car in the region. The Washington County incident happened just before 11 p.m. Sunday, May 12, in the town of Easton. New York State Police said troopers attempted to stop a vehicle on State Route 40 for traffic violation when the driver failed to stop, leading to a pursuit. Burglars Crash Into Gun Shop In Capital Region, Steal Merchandise Police are seeking tips after a group of thieves forced their way into a gun shop in the region and stole merchandise. The Washington County break-in happened at around 7:40 a.m. Sunday, July 16, in Easton, at the Beecroft’s Shooters Supply on State Route 40. A Kia Sportage intentionally drove into the store’s front door, allowing several people to enter and steal items, according to New York State Police.
