The family of a beloved teacher who was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the region is calling for change after the man responsible was given no more than 36 months behind bars. Saratoga County resident John Lincoln-Lynch, age 57, of Moreau, was sentenced to an indeterminate term of one to three years in prison in Saratoga County Court on Tuesday, Oct. 31. Musician's Shooting Death Leads To Murder Charges For 20-Year-Old Capital Region Man
A 20-year-old man has been charged with murder months after allegedly gunning down a musician in the region. Saratoga County resident Jeff Henderson, of South Glens Falls, pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in Albany County Court on Thursday, Sept. 14, in the death of Benjamin Rowe. According to prosecutors, Henderson fatally shot Rowe at around 2 a.m. Sunday, June 25 in Albany, near Hamilton and Ontario streets. Rowe was 25 years old. 23-Year-Old Dies After Crash In Capital Region
A 23-year-old man died at the hospital after police said he fled from troopers in a vehicle and crashed into a large tree. Troopers in Saratoga County were conducting a sobriety checkpoint detail in Moreau on Hudson Falls Road at about 10:15 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, when they stopped a vehicle driven by Washington County resident Vincent Mancuso, of Fort Edward, New York State Police said.
