Man Repeatedly Stabs Woman In Front Of 2 Kids Inside Capital Region Home, Police Say A man is facing attempted murder charges following a stabbing attack that injured a woman in Albany. Officers responded to a residence in the city’s Beverwyck neighborhood, near Sherman and Quail streets, for a stabbing at around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2. Inside the home, they found a woman, 31, suffering from stab wounds to her torso, legs, and hands, Albany Police said. She was taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital in stable condition. 4-Year-Old Hit By Car Outside McDonald's In Capital Region A young child is doing okay after being struck by a car in the region. The incident happened at around 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, in Albany, near the intersection of Sherman and Ontario streets. According to Albany Police, a 4-year-old boy ran into the roadway while his mother was unloading items from her car and was hit by a vehicle. The boy was not injured and was taken to Albany Medical Center out of precaution. The incident happened just outside of a McDonald's.
