Driver Killed In Head-On Capital Region Crash That Injured Second Motorist A head-on crash on a busy roadway in the region left one man dead and another motorist injured during the morning commute. The Albany County wreck happened at around 8 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28 in Colonie, on State Route 9 near Old Loudon Road. Colonie Police said a Subaru was heading northbound on State Route 9 when the driver crossed over the median and struck a southbound Volkswagen head on. Albany County resident Jesse Stockman, age 37, of Colonie, was arrested Friday, Jan. 12, in connection with several break-ins at businesses in Colonie. Colonie Police were called at around 10 p.m. for a report of a commercial burglary in progress near Troy-Schenectady and Old Loudon roads. The culprit fled before officers arrived.
