Breaking: Two Killed In Raging Capital Region House Fire Two people were found dead inside a Capital Region home after a raging fire destroyed the structure. Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple, Sr., said the fire started around 2 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, in the town of Knox on Thompsons Lake Road. Sheriff’s Deputies spotted the home fully engulfed in flames. Shortly after, the Knox Fire Department arrived, and with the assistance of the Berne and Altamont Fire Departments, they extinguished the fire. The Albany theft was reported by sheriff’s officials Monday, Oct. 23. A dash-mounted camera was rolling as the man, seen wearing a long-sleeve checkered shirt and baseball cap, jumped into the van as it was parked outside an Albany business. Capital Region Restaurant Closes Due To Health Concerns A family-owned Italian restaurant and pub in the region is closing after less than a year in business. Albany County eatery Joe’s Township Tavern, located in Knox at 1412 Township Road, closed on Saturday, Sept. 30, the company announced on Facebook. Owner Joe Conklin attributed the move to co-owner Nadia Raza’s declining health. “With Nadia’s health concerns, it is too much stress to keep the tavern open,” he said. “We are hoping to open Curry Patta in the future at some point and Nadia is actively searching for a location.” Conklin encouraged customers to join them one last time before…
