Capital Region Man Sexually Abused Child For Years, Jury Finds
A 29-year-old man from the region is facing decades in prison after being convicted of sexually abusing a young child for years. Douglas Eckler, of Cohoes, was found guilty of sex crimes by a jury in Albany County Supreme Court on Wednesday, Oct. 18. According to prosecutors, Eckler repeatedly sexually abused the victim for several years, between the spring of 2020 and February 2023. The abuse started when the victim was under the age of 13.
