21-Year-Old Accused In Shooting That Injured 2 Young Girls In Capital Region
Weeks after a shooting in the region left two young girls injured, police have arrested a 21-year-old suspect.
Keovion Goodwine, of Troy, was taken into custody Tuesday, July 2, on attempted murder and related charges. Troy Police did not publicize the arrest until Tuesday, July 16.
According to investigators, Goodwine shot two girls, ages 11 and 14, near Fourth and Madison streets shortly after midnight on Sunday, May 12. Both victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Arsonist Sets Fire To Capital Region Business, Home, Police Say
A man is facing charges in connection with intentional fires that were set at a home and business in the region.
Michael Kabler, age 49, who is homeless, was arrested Saturday, Oct. 7, after multiple agencies responded to a residential fire at the Sunset Trailer Park in Colonie, located on Central Avenue, at around 6 a.m.
According to Colonie Police, investigators determined that Kabler was responsible for the fire and had been squatting in the trailer.
No other homes were damaged and nobody else was injured.

Update: Capital Region Man Missing For Several Days Found Safe

A man from the region who had been missing for several days has been found.
Albany County resident Feliz Perez, age 44, of Colonie, had last been seen at around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, heading to the Colonie Center shopping mall, according to Colonie Police.
On Wednesday, Sept. 13, police announced that Perez was located.
No other information was available.

Man Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash In Capital Region
A 74-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the region.
The Albany County wreck happened at around 1:40 p.m. Friday, June 9, in Colonie, on Crescent Road near Fonda Road.
According to Colonie Police, Alexander Ortiz, age 74, of Hannacroix in Greene County, was driving his motorcycle eastbound on Crescent Road when he crossed into the oncoming lane.
He then collided with a Nissan Altima and was ejected from the bike.

A dispute between an Uber driver and a passenger ended with the customer pulling a gun on the driver at a hotel in the region, authorities said.
The Albany County incident happened at around 4:15 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, at the Tru by Hilton in Colonie, located on Albany-Shaker Road, according to Colonie Police.

A convicted felon is facing a fresh set of charges after allegedly trying to stab two people inside a home in the region, authorities said.
Officers in Albany County were called at around 1:40 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, with reports of an assault at a home in Watervliet on 4th Avenue, according to Watervliet Police.
When police arrived, they determined that 43-year-old Brad Bova, of Watervliet, had attempted to stab the victims with a large knife. He then barricaded himself inside the home.

Operations are back to normal at a mall in the region after a fight broke out between several people, sending some stores into a lockdown.
In Albany County, Colonie Police were called to the Colonie Center Mall at around 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, for a reported fight involving several individuals, some who were armed with knives and handguns.
