Capital Region Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting 11-Year-Old

A man from the region is accused of sexually abusing a young child.

Jayden Buckmaster, age 18, of Galway in Saratoga County, was arrested Wednesday, Oct. 19, following an investigation by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies determined that Buckmaster had sexual intercourse with an 11-year-old victim, the sheriff’s office said.

He’s now facing charges of first-degree rape and possession of sexual performance by a child, both felonies.

Buckmaster was arraigned in the Town of Greenfield Court, where a judge ordered him held at the Saratoga County jail on $25,000 cash bail.

He is scheduled to appear back in court at a later date.
