As the temperature gradually rises after daybreak on Monday, Dec. 16, precipitation will change to rain in inland locations where snow and sleet caused delayed school starts and some closures. Line Of Severe Storms Moving Through With Heavy Rain Causing Flooding In Parts Of Region A line of storms is now moving across the region from west to east, producing drenching downpours that are flooding some areas. A radar image of the region above, from just before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, shows severe storms marked in red. "Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations," the National Weather Service issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook statement issued Tuesday.
