Off-Duty Nypd Officer Killed In Fiery Single-Car Crash In Region: State Police An off-duty New York City Police officer was killed on his way home from work on the Palisades Parkway in Orange County, NY early Friday, Dec. 6, authorities said. The 45-year-old New Windsor, NY man was heading north in a 2019 Subaru when he left the roadway and struck a tree in the median, just north of Exit 19 in Highlands around 6 a.m., New York State Police said in a news release. The driver was taken to Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, where he ultimately was pronounced dead. UPDATE: Off-Duty Nypd Officer Killed In Fiery Highlands Crash: State Police The single-vehicle crash occurred around 6 a.m., Friday, Dec. 6; the car reportedly hit a tree and burst into flames. Driver Ejected From Vehicle During Hudson Valley Crash Airlifted To Hospital A Hudson Valley man was seriously injured after being ejected from a vehicle and trapped underneath the car during a crash. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 4:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, near the Palisades Parkway Exit 9W/Thruway.  According to Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police, troopers who responded could not locate a vehicle crash.  At 6 a.m., a male passenger crawled up an embankment just north of the Exit 9W ramp and flagged down a motorist, who then dialed 911, Nevel said.  Nevel said a preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle was…
