39-Year-Old Accused Of Forcing Way Into Craryville Home A Capitol Region man is behind bars after allegedly forcing his way into the home of a person he had a prior relationship with. Columbia County resident David A. Grant Jr., age 39, of Craryville, was charged on Sunday, Oct. 13. According to Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police, an investigation determined Grant forced entry into the residence of the victim through a bathroom window and struck the victim. Man Who Traveled Across NY To Kill Ex-Wife's Partner Apprehended In Columbia County, Police Say A man was apprehended in the region after authorities say he traveled hundreds of miles across New York to murder his ex-wife's partner. State Police troopers responded to a Columbia County 911 broadcast about the suspect on Tuesday, Sept. 17. The suspect, Andrew J. Case, age 41, of West Seneca, in Erie County, was located and arrested on Route 9 in the Columbia County town of Greenport, according to police.
