A daycare worker is facing charges and a second employee was fired after the woman allegedly abused a toddler at a Capital Region daycare. Amy Henninger, 48, of Ballston Spa, was taken into custody on suspicion of assault and related charges on Thursday, Jan. 30. A man is facing attempted murder charges following a stabbing attack that injured a woman in Albany. Officers responded to a residence in the city’s Beverwyck neighborhood, near Sherman and Quail streets, for a stabbing at around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2. A Capital Region man is behind bars for allegedly raping a woman and endangering the welfare of a child. Saratoga County resident Alim Mohammed, age 34, of Moreau, was charged on Friday, Sept. 27, in Lamplighter Acres in Moreau. Police are investigating after a woman was shot to death at a home in the region. The incident happened in Schenectady, at a residence on Charles Street near Albany Street, at around 8:20 p.m. Wednesday, July 31.
