Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

National Auto Parts Retailer To Close Over 700 Stores A nationwide auto parts retailers says it will close over 700 stores as part of “a strategic plan to improve business performance.” Advance Auto Parts, which has about 4,800 total stores, and locations in almost every state, made the announcement on Thursday, Nov. 14. Man Struck By Pickup Truck In Hicksville A man was hospitalized after being struck by a truck on Long Island. The accident occurred on Wednesday, Nov. 13, around 5:55 p.m. on Jerusalem Avenue near Nelson Avenue in Hicksville, according to Nassau County police. Police reported that a 64-year-old man driving a 2005 Nissan pickup truck southbound on Jerusalem Avenue hit a 59-year-old man crossing the road. The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. The driver remained at the scene, and no additional injuries were reported.
