Outgoing New York State Assemblyman John McGowan (R-District 97) found himself chasing away multiple people wearing ski masks who had broken into his Rockland County home in the middle of the night. A small twin-engine plane experiencing mechanical problems landed on the New York State Thruway in the Capital Region Friday, Dec. 20, New York State Police said. The incident occurred after 12 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, just south of Exit 23 of the Thruway in Albany. First responders can be seen on the scene. A 16-year-old boy is in critical condition after being hit by a car while walking along a Hudson Valley roadway. An alleged fentanyl dealer is behind bars after being busted during a "buy" by the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force. Bernard Diggs, of Poughkeepsie, was charged on Tuesday, Dec. 17, in the area of South Cherry Street on the south side of Poughkeepsie. According to Det. Sgt. According to New York State Trooper Jennifer Alvarez, Eric J. Woman Missing Almost 2 Weeks In Sullivan County, Sheriff Says
The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help locating a woman who has been missing for almost two weeks. The Sheriff's Office said Gina F. Intranuovo, age 31, of Swan Lake, was last seen on Saturday, Dec. 7, wearing a blue winter coat, black pants, black boots, and a pink purse. Intranuovo is 5-foot-6, has brown hair and eyes, and is 180 pounds. Anyone with information concerning Intranuovo's whereabouts is urged to contact the Sheriff's Office at 845-794-7100 ext. 1. A 24-year-old Hudson Valley woman jumped to her death from the Moodna Viaduct, which carries Metro-North Railroad's Port Jervis Line over the Moodna Creek early this week. Ryley S. Buononato, a resident of Amenia in Dutchess County, jumped around 2:45 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 16, according to an MTA spokesman. Update: Police ID Victim In 3-Vehicle Crash In Region
Police have identified a 40-year-old Hudson Valley man who was killed in a three-vehicle crash. Alberto Mata, of Chester, was killed around 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, on Route 94 (Main St.), in front of the Chester Firehouse, said the Village of Chester Police. An exact cause for the crash that involved two SUVs and a pickup truck was not immediately apparent. The crash remains under investigation.

A five-car crash in Orange County on I-84 westbound has sent five people to the hospital with minor injuries. The incident occurred at 60 Gove St. in the City of Newburgh at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, December 12.
