Suffolk Woman Drove Drunk In Crash Killing Mom Riding In SUV With Daughter, Grandchild: Police A Long Island woman was driving under the influence when she caused a crash that killed a 75-year-old mother, according to authorities. Suffolk County Police said the collision occurred on Friday, Nov. 22, at approximately 8:40 p.m. on Middle Country Road near Wading River Hollow Road in Middle Island.  Investigators determined that Melissa Koprowski, age 31, of Yaphank, was driving a 2014 Dodge Durango eastbound when she attempted to turn left onto Wading River Hollow Road.
