Woman Killed, Two Men Seriously Injured In Suffolk County House Fire: Police A woman was killed, and two men were seriously injured in a house fire on Storz Place in Lindenhurst late Thursday, Jan. 9, Suffolk County police announced. First Precinct officers responded to a 911 call reporting the blaze at 9 Storz Place at 11:11 p.m., police said. Three occupants were rescued from the home by police and first responders. 1 Killed After House Fire Breaks Out On Long Island One person died in an overnight house fire on Long Island. The blaze broke out at around 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, in Seaford. First responders observed the second floor of the home on Crescent Cove Drive engulfed in flames.  The Seaford Fire Department extinguished the flames, but the residence sustained extensive damage.  An 85-year-old man was removed from the residence and transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead just after midnight on Tuesday, Oct. 8, by a hospital physician. Man Dies After Being Pulled Unresponsive From West Islip Home A person has died after being pulled unresponsive from a pool at a Long Island home. Suffolk County Police Third Precinct officers responded to a 911 call after the man was found at around 6 p.m. Sunday, June 16, at a home in West Islip on Graywood Court. The victim, Akinola Johnson, age 45, a resident of the home, was found by a family member and pulled out of the water. The family started CPR until first responders arrived on the scene.
